Fake ‘health inspector’ robs restaurants in Las Vegas: cops

A man posed as a “health inspector” at two fast food restaurants in Las Vegas on July 3, 2022, police said. He stole money from the safe and fled.

A bogus “health inspector” convinced employees of two Las Vegas restaurants to open their safes, police said.

The man visited fast food restaurants on July 3, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said in a news release.

He posed as a health inspector and tricked workers into opening safes, police said.

He then grabbed the money and fled, police said.

Now police are trying to identify the impersonator, according to a press release

Video footage of the man shows him wearing a button-down shirt and black pants while holding a clipboard.

Police believe he is between 25 and 35 years old.

“Anyone who recognizes this suspect or has information about these incidents is urged to contact police,” authorities said.
